Egypt’s North Sinai Governorate recorded one new case of the virus after five days without a single new case, the Health Undersecretary of North Sinai said.
The governorate has a recorded total of 112 positive cases and 25 deaths, while 370 patients have been discharged from quarantine in hospitals, and 38 patients remain quarantined at home.
The country on Tuesday confirmed 187 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s number so far to 100,228, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Health.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 5,560 nationwide, after 19 deaths were announced Tuesday.
Around 878 patients were discharged from quarantine in isolation hospitals on Tuesday, bringing the number of fully recovered cases to 79,886.
