Egypt affirmed that this position reflects a clear understanding to avoid worsening Gaza’s humanitarian condition.
It also showcases the the necessity of working to find just and sustainable solution to the Palestinian issue.
Egypt stressed the vitality of building on this positive trend to advance efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East, through adopting a comprehensive path based on a clear vision for stability and security in the region.
Egypt believes that US President Trump’s initiative towards ending conflicts and achieving peace, including in the Middle East, can represent a practical framework to help achieve justice for the Palestinian people, foremost of which is their legitimate right to establish an independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
