The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced that it has begun operating four self-service machines to purchase tickets to enter the archaeological area of Giza Pyramids, helping to significantly reduce crowding in front of ticket sales outlets.
Self-service machines are a new channel for purchasing visit tickets, in addition to purchasing through ticket sales outlets located at the area’s entry gates and through the Ministry’s official website.
These machines allow all visitors to Giza Pyramids area, whether locals or tourists, to purchase all available tickets to enter the area using their bank cards of all types.
This comes as part of the ministry’s comprehensive digital transformation strategy, which seeks to convert it into an almost cashless environment under the Egyptian state’s directives for digital transformation, deepening the policy of cashless payments, and tightening control over visits.
