Egypt to offer LE4 billion in bonds

Egypt's Finance Ministry will offer LE4 billion (US$669.7 million) in two and three-year bonds in an auction on 19 September, the Central Bank of Egypt announced Monday .

The two-year bonds, worth LE2 billion each, will mature on 26 July 2013, and carry a coupon of 13.1 percent.

The three-year bonds, worth LE2 billion each, will mature on 2 August 2014 and carry a coupon of 13.35 percent.

The bonds are offered by the Central Bank of Egypt, which is acting on behalf of the Finance Ministry. Settlement of the sales will take place on 20 September.
