Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali al-Moselhy affirmed Saturday that the state has made enough achievements in the pasta industry to allow the export of spaghetti due to the increased demand for its quality.
On price control, Moselhy explained that: “It was necessary to work so that prices could be adjusted while coordinating between the producer and distributor.”
“It was one of the most important points taken by the state to raise the efficiency of production units to reduce costs, as well as increase abundance and supply,” he said.
“In cooperation with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, the Federation of Industry and all partners in the private sector, the armed forces and the police, the Ministry of Supply was able to provide all commodities in the markets and increase distribution outlets.”
Moselhy added that the state was able to maintain prices as they were before Ramadan until May 15, and it continues to do so in many areas.
He also noted cooperation is in place between the ministry and all control agencies, especially supply investigations, so that any violations in the markets are detected.
