The Supreme Council for Media Regulation in Egypt announced on Saturday that it would start the first training course for Palestinian media professionals on Sunday, with the participation of 12 Palestinian journalists.
The council said that the course will last for 10 days, and will be taught by a group of media experts and professionals.
The training season for African media professionals will begin by the end of August and will include eight sessions involving 250 media professionals from the continent, the council said in a statement.
Member of the council and head of the training committee Saleh al-Salehy said that the council will begin the first local joint training courses with Nasser Academy next week, in which 50 editors of Egyptian newspapers and magazines along producers of programs will participate.
Salhi explained that this is the first joint course with the Academy and is expected to see six courses total including topics such as strategy, media, crisis management and decision-making.
