Egypt lost US$2 billion from cash reserves in October, says Central Bank

Egypt's Central Bank lost US$2 billion from its international cash reserves in October, bringing its reserves down from $24.1 billion in September to $22.1 billion the following month.

Total cash reserves stood at $26.6 billion in June, which could cover 5.7 months of commodity imports, but it went down 9.6 percent by September and $14 billion from the beginning of the year.
