Local Development Minister Adel Labib and Matrouh Governor Alaa Abu Zeid are heading to South Korea this week to learn about the country’s sanitary drainage expertise.
In statements on Sunday, Labib said he plans to tour several drainage stations with the aim of exploring unconventional sewage systems which can hopefully be applied to impoverished villages in Egypt.
The minister said the Korean technology could be applied to the province of Matrouh on a trial basis before expanding to other parts of the country.
