The Electricity Ministry will host the second Africa Smart Grid Forum on March 6-7, 2016 in Cairo, the ministry announced in a statement Wednesday.
A large number of ministers, experts and specialists in this field from various countries throughout the world will take part in the event. Additionally, major international companies specialized in the electricity and telecommunications networks, as well as smart networks and systems, and a number of funders will also participate, the statement added.
On the sidelines of the forum, an international exhibition will be held from March 6-8, 2016, with the participation of major companies specialized in smart grid technology. The exhibition will be followed with the second meeting of the African Electrotechnical Standardization Commission (AFSEC) from March 8-10, said the statement.
