Egypt’s Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of the Congo Hesham Abdel Salam has handed over a number of mobile units to Congolese Minister of Scientific Research Gilbert Kabanda.
The units are granted by the Egyptian National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) to contribute to mitigating the dangerous effects of volcanic activities.
The DR Congo minister extended thanks to Egypt for this grant that will help protect Congolese people from volcanic threats.
The Foreign Ministry said in a post on its Facebook page on Tuesday 23/1/2024 that the minister lauded the growing relations between his country and Egypt, voicing hopes to further cement their fruitful cooperation in the coming period.
