Egypt’s Grand Mufti Shawqi Allam criticised an attack by masked men on an army vehicle in Sharqia on Tuesday which led to the killing of two army officers and the injury of two other army personnel.
“These terrorist operations that target security men are totally prohibited by Sharia and rejected in all forms,” said Allam in the statement, adding these operations intimidate people and undermine public security and peace.
He also expressed his condolences to the families of the two victims.
