Egypt’s food industries exports achieved the highest value in its history during 2023, reaching US$5.1 billion according local media reports on Monday.
Food industry exports increased by $602 million or 14 percent compared to 2022, while Arab countries topped the list of the most important international importing groups.
The value of Egypt’s exports to Arab countries amounted to $2.7 billion – exports to the European Union rose to $884 million.
Exports to non-Arab African countries achieved a growth of 22 percent, while Sudan ranked first among importing countries with $470 million.
