The General Authority for Meteorology announced a break in the heat wave and a decrease in temperatures starting Friday of 2-3 degrees in the north of the country up to the north of Upper Egypt.
The Meteorological Authority expected in a statement on its official Facebook page that Friday’s weather will be very hot and humid during the day in most parts, and mild to hot and humid at night.
It also warned of maritime navigation disturbances on the Mediterranean coasts with wind speeds of 40-60 km/h and wave heights of 2-3.5 meters.
Weather maps revealed light to moderate rain, sometimes thundery, accompanied by active winds causing sand and dust storms in areas of Abu Simbel, Aswan, Halaib and Shalateen.
