Cairo Airport authorities deported 47 Sudanese nationals to Khartoum after they were arrested last week while allegedly attempting to illegally migrate on a fishing boat to Italy through Kafr al-Sheikh, north Egypt.
The arrested deportees arrived to the airport amid tight security from Kafr al-Sheikh, said a Cairo Airport security source.
The deportees were accompanied by dozens of other Egyptian undocumented migrants on the fishing boat.
The Sudanese Embassy was notified with the incident.
