Egypt’s thirty-ninth batch of aid trucks to Gaza has moved from the Rafah land crossing to the Kerem Shalom crossing, passing through the side gate of the Rafah crossing.
This comes as part of Egypt’s continuous efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis affecting more than two million Palestinians.
Earlier on Wednesday morning, the outer yard of the Rafah crossing saw the thirty-ninth convoy of trucks lined up, loaded with food and humanitarian supplies for those affected by the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
A source from the Egyptian Red Crescent said that the trucks are part of the “Zad Al-Izzah (Provision of Glory) from Egypt to Gaza” convoy.
The trucks are carrying with them large quantities of food and relief supplies, which include food items, food baskets, flour, fresh bread, legumes, canned foods, medicines, personal care products, and tents.
Since July, 5,750 trucks have entered the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom crossing south of Rafah, carrying more than 32,000 tons of humanitarian and relief aid, in addition to 20 trucks carrying more than 920 tons of fuel.
Since the beginning of the war, the volume of aid that has entered Gaza has reached approximately 37,000 trucks, carrying more than 700,000 tons of various humanitarian and relief aid, in addition to ambulances and fuel trucks.
