Egypt has deeply condemned the terrorist attack on Wednesday in the Afghan capital of Kabul, which left at least 80 killed and 350 injured.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Foreign Ministry offered condolences to families of the victims and expressed solidarity with Afghan people and government against terrorism, urging the international community to unite in their efforts against this phenomenon.
Ahmed abu Zeid, the ministry spokesperson said: “The explosion in the diplomatic district was enormous as it caused huge damage to the glass and building of the Egyptian embassy and residence of the ambassador. One of the embassy security personnel was injured by broken glass.”
He added that the ministry is following up on the incident.
