Egypt condemned an attack targeting the Saudi Hospital in El-Fasher in Sudan’s Darfur region, leaving behind a large number of innocent people dead.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Foreign Ministry deplored targeting the civilian infrastructure, public facilities and healthcare establishments which play a key role in offering the basic services for civilians in Sudan. The ministry said this is a flagrant violation of the international humanitarian law.
Egypt called again on the importance of halting the escalation in the Sudanese city of El-Fasher that – if continued – would cause more casualties. Egypt offered condolences to the Sudanese people, especially families of the deceased.
