Deputy Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Osama Asran will lead the Arab delegations that will take part in the Arab-China Cooperation Conference on Energy, due to be held China’s Hainan Province from September 19 to 21.
In a statement released on Monday, the Electricity Ministry said the 7th edition of the conference will be held under the slogan “Launching a golden era of Arab-Sino Cooperation on Energy with High Quality, Elevated Standards and Sustainability”.
The statement said the participation in the conference comes as part of strategic importance attached to bolstering ties between Arab states, under the umbrella of the Arab League, and China.
Several official delegations from Arab states, governmental bodies, regional and international organizations concerned, academic institutes, research institutes and companies operating in the field of energy, in addition to a galaxy of Arab and Chinese investors will participate in the event.
Egypt hosted the sixth session of the Arab-China Cooperation Conference on Energy Under the slogan “One Way One Belt: Promising Investment Opportunities” that was held in Cairo in 2018.
The 7th conference will discuss a number of topics related to the energy investment opportunities and challenges facing China and the Arab countries.
The two sides will exchange views on ways of cooperation between them through five sessions in the fields of electricity, electrical connection, sustainable energy, nuclear energy, oil and natural gas, investment opportunities, in addition to the closing session in which the recommendations will be announced.
