Egypt, Bulgaria hold discussions on transfer of technology

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi held a meeting with the Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov on Tuesday, discussing cooperation between the two countries in fields of education, health and technology.

The leaders also discussed the economic and political conditions in the Middle East, namely Palestine and Syria.

Sisi clarified that Bulgaria is a voice for Egypt in the European Union as it transmits messages of the Egyptian government on the importance of stability in the Middle East.

Sisi added that the two countries agreed on establishing a joint committee to be hosted by Bulgaria in January or February 2019.

Meanwhile, Borissov said that the discussions tackled the transfer of technology between the two countries in fields of mathematics and natural sciences.

Sisi welcomed the establishment of a Bulgarian university to transfer Bulgaria’s expertise in the field of education, Borissov added.
