
An official source in North Sinai said that Egyptian authorities succeeded in bringing in 116 trucks carrying humanitarian and relief aid into the Gaza Strip through the Karem Abu-Salem crossing gate, south of Rafah, passing through the side gate of the Rafah land crossing.
The source added that the trucks carry large quantities of food and relief aid, including food supplies, food baskets, flour, fresh bread, legumes, preserved foods, medicines, and personal care items.
He pointed out that among the trucks that entered, 70 were from the United Nations, 30 were from the Egyptian Red Crescent, and 16 were from the United Arab Emirates.
The head of the Egyptian Red Crescent branch in North Sinai, Khaled Zayed, explained that the 18th convoy of aid trucks that entered the Gaza Strip carrying thousands of tons of urgent food, medical, and relief aid, and is part of the Egyptian Red Crescent’s ongoing efforts for coordinating aid to Gaza.
