Egypt's stock exchange suspended trade for half an hour on Monday after the broad index .EGX100 jumped 5 percent soon after the market opened.
The main share index .EGX30 soared 7.6 percent on Monday, the fourth day of trade following a seven-week closure caused by political unrest.
Among stocks advancing by the maximum 10 percent allowed under exchange rules were Commercial International Bank, Telecom Egypt and Talaat Moustafa.
