Egypt attends African foreign ministers meeting

African foreign ministers met on Monday in Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea, to prepare for the African Union Summit in which President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi would head the Egyptian delegation.
 
The Egyptian delegation attended the meeting headed by Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
 
The summit will be held under the theme “Agriculture and Food Security in Africa” on the tenth anniversary of the comprehensive agricultural development program.
 
The foreign ministers’ meeting is discussing reform and expansion of the Security Council, peace and security in Africa, climate change and the strategy of the African Union in 2063.
 
On the sidelines of the summit there will be a meeting of two AU programs, the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) and the African Peer Review Mechanism.
 
Egypt is also attending the meeting of the African Peace and Security Council on its tenth anniversary.
