President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi met the Hungarian Parliamentary Speaker, Laszlo Kover, in Cairo on Thursday to discuss developing bilateral relations between the countries, with the Egyptian Parliamentary Speaker and the Ambassador of Hungary to Egypt also in attendance.
Kover expressed his country’s determination on enabling parliamentary cooperation as well as strengthening communication between the people of Egypt and Hungary.
The official spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency, Bassam Rady, stated that Sisi’s last visit to Hungary in July 2017 fostered joint cooperation between the two countries, aiming to open up prospects of greater trade and investment.
Rady added that Sisi discussed cooperation between Egypt and the Visegrad Group, which includes Czech Republic, Poland, and it’s current head, Hungary.
