The Egyptian Electricity Holding Company announced on Tuesday that the state’s load-shedding plan will be amended in light of preparations for the exam season across various educational levels.
The company said that, following coordination with the petroleum sector, the daily load shedding plan has now been changed to be from three pm until seven pm, across the country, with the outage period for each area not exceeding two hours starting May 8 until July 20.
The company explained that this decision comes upon the request of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, to not implement the load shedding plan currently in place from between eight am to three pm out of the state’s concern for the interests of students and the regularity of the examination process.
