The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) imposed a LE40,000 fine on Zamalek Club on Wednesday after fans insulted and threw bottles on referees during the league game against the Arab Contractors Club (2-2), said Cable News Network (CNN).
CNN added that the EFA also imposed a LE15,000 fine on Zamalek’s head coach Christian Gross for not attending the press conference following the game and a LE20,000 fine on trainer Ayman Abdel-Aziz for insulting the referees.
Zamalek currently ranks first in the Egyptian league at 53 points and will play against Ahly club, which ranks second at 51 points, on Saturday in the Egyptian League, CNN reports.
