Ahmed al-Hanafy, head of the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company, declared on Tuesday that a contract had been signed to expand the power transformers station of Al-Zeit, in cooperation with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as well as a number of Egyptian and foreign companies.
The project, according to Hanafy, will be carried out during the next 16 months and it's value is estimated at LE57.4 million. The foreign side of project will be financed by JICA, while the local side will be funded by the resources of the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company.
Hanafy added that the energy sector strives to provide electricity for all the consumers and that such projects are aimed at enhancing the capacity of the network.
