Educational building contractors protest over non-payment

Contractors for the Educational Buildings Authority protested today in front of the Ministry of Education, demanding that Education Minister Ahmad Zaki Badr pay the employees entitlements owed to them by the state.

Many of the contractors traveled to Cairo from various governorates to take part in the protest. The contractors raised banners asking Badr to intervene and ensure that their delayed payments were made.

In other news, “The Group of 45,” law school graduates who recently obtained judicial decisions supporting their right to work as assistant representatives at the State Litigation Authority, have organized a new protest in front of the People’s Assembly. They presented pleas to a number of ruling National Democratic Party members, asking President Mubarak to implement the rulings. The group said it would continue protesting until its demands were met.
