Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) Ali al-Ghamrawy said there are “promising” investment opportunities in the Egyptian pharmaceutical sector.
The Authority seeks to support industry localization programs and encourage local and international investments.
This came during Ghamrawy’s meeting with Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Drug Information Association (DIA) Marwan Fathallah to discuss bilateral cooperation In many areas, topped by capacity-building and development, and pharmaceutical manufacturing and policies.
The meeting also took up opportunities for capacity development through organizing specialized training programs in the fields of pharmacovigilance (PV, or PhV), also known as drug safety, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and clinical studies.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Drug Information Association (DIA) for the Middle East and North Africa, hosted by Egypt from November 26-27, 2024.
DIA aims to create an effective environment that allows all stakeholders to share the challenges facing the future of the pharmaceutical industry, agree on realistic scenarios, and discuss the best ways and work together to find innovative solutions.
