The 25 January Revolution Youth Coalition has erected a large screen in front of the Attorney General's office at the High Court of Justice downtown to broadcast the public trial of former President Hosni Mubarak.
On its Facebook page, the coalition invited all Egyptians to watch the trial, which began at 9 am Wednesday.
The Police Academy also installed a large screen outside for citizens to follow the proceedings of the trial.
Anticipation is high for the trial of the deposed leader who ruled with an iron fist for 30 years.
Some reporters and families of those killed during the revolution have complained about the difficulty of obtaining permission to attend the trial. In all, 600 permits were granted, according to the judge handling the case.
