The Doctors' Syndicate has called out the Health Ministry over an administrative decision that reportedly bans doctors from publishing photos that show how hospitals are failing on Facebook.
The syndicate said the decision shows administrative failure. The ministry, however, has denied the issuance of such decision.
In a statement on Sunday, the syndicate said the ministry is used to entrenching policies of failure instead of searching for solutions to immediately fix the deteriorating conditions. It added that the minister found a solution by banning the publishing of such photos.
The ministry expressed its insistence on the dismissal of the minister and is declaring a timeline for a national plan to rescue the health sector in Egypt.
Meanwhile, Health Ministry Spokesperson Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, denied the news about the decision to ban the publishing of photos that show neglect in hospitals. He stated that whomever has evidence the minister made such decision present it.
