Egypt's ambassador to the US on Tuesday said he has no information about discussions between an Egyptian delegation and officials in Washington about properties or assets of former President Hosni Mubarak potentially kept in the US.
In press releases, Ambassador Sameh Shoukry said that US officials are addressing the issue with legal officials at the US Embassy in Cairo as well as other Egyptian judicial authorities.
He added that communications between authorities are on hold because of a US request for additional legal information.
Mubarak is charged with illegally accumulating wealth, among other accusations.
