Despite promising Palestine peace, US continues to supply Israel with weapons

The US stated that it will continue to work with Israel and Egyptian and Qatari mediators in order reinstate the humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip – yet simultaneously continues to provide Israel with weapons for its assault on Gaza.

US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, announced during a press conference with his Australian and British counterparts with whom he held discussions under the AUKUS coalition framework in California, that “We will continue to work with Israel, Egypt, and Qatar in order to return to the humanitarian truce.”

Military and strategic experts told Al-Masry Al-Youm that America’s support to Israel in its current war focuses on explosives, phosphorous, and various types of munitions used to destroy facilities and cause staggering human loss.

The air bridge provided by the US to Israel in the Gaza war began on the second day of the war, military expert Hamdi Bakhit confirmed.

Some of the latest weapons the US provided to the Israeli occupation army were C-17 military cargo planes, which transported 100 Blu-109 bombs, penetrating concrete fortifications, 15,000 bombs, 57,000 artillery shells, 5,000 unguided Mk82 bombs, and 5,400 bombs with Mk82 warheads, Mk84 warheads weighing 2,000 pounds, 1,000 GBU-39 small diameter bombs, 3,000 JDAM bombs, and converts.
