Hundreds of Ain Shams University students held demonstrations on Sunday to demand the release of students detained after a string of protests on campuses across the country.
Protests appealed to the Ministries of Defense and Interior to begin releasing fellow students.
Students from the Dostour and Wasat parties, as well as Muslim Brotherhood, Ain Shams Freedom Movement, Revolutionary Socialist and Qasr Al-Aini medical faculty students reportedly joined the demonstrations.
Students raised banners and chanted slogans against the military, but refrained from chanting slogans in favour of deposed President Mohamed Morsy.
