Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki on Monday held a meeting with General Robert Brieger, the Chairman of the European Union Military Committee (EUMC) and his accompanying delegation at the premises of the Ministry of Defense.
Brieger is on an official few days’ visit to Egypt.
The meeting tackled the latest developments at the regional and international levels, efforts aimed at ensuring security and stability in the region as well as means of boosting relations in the security and defense domains.
Zaki hailed the friendship and military cooperation with the EUMC, pointing out to the significance of harmonizing visions regarding issues and topics of mutual concern, in order to promote security and stability in the region.
Brieger asserted the importance of boosting cooperation and exchanging know-how in the domains of security and defense. He lauded Egypt’s efforts toward solving regional and international issues, in light of their effectiveness in the Middle East.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Osama Askar as well as a host of military top brass.
