Minister of Defense and Military Production Abdel-Mageed Saqr inspected on Monday the Red Sea Naval Base.
He was accompanied by Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Ahmed Khalifa, commanders of the main branches, and senior military officers.
The inspection tour aims at standing on the Armed Forces’ combat readiness and preparedness.
He was briefed on the Naval Force personnel’s combat missions and training activities that enabled them to achieve the highest levels of efficiency and combat readiness.
The minister inspected a number of naval units to ensure their readiness, and discussed with a number of specialized crews their execution methods of assigned tasks and their mastery of the modern combat systems integrated into the naval forces.
Saqr also conveyed President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s great appreciation to the navy personnel.
He also asserted the keenness of the Armed Forces’ General Command to enhance the combat capabilities of the naval forces and develop them in accordance with the latest systems to enable them to guard Egypt’s coasts and territorial waters and face all maritime threats on various strategic directions.
