Damanhur Carpet Factory workers protest for annual bonus

Workers at Damanhur Carpet Factory, owned by the Endowments Authority, in Beheira staged a protest Thursday to demand the disbursement of their 10 percent annual bonus announced.

The workers accused the company's management of procrastination in implementing the president's decision, which was supposed to be applied in July 2015.

The Damanhur Carpet Factory employs 834 workers. The spinning and weaving factories' workers in Kafr al-Dawwar and al-Mahalla al-Kubra received the 10 percent bonus after they staged a strike for ten days.
