The Sahel Misdemeanor Court extended by 15 days the custody detention of two police deputies accused of raping a university student inside their police vehicle.
Investigators had found that the pair forcibly raped the girl after they had allegedly found her making out with a friend inside his car. They forced her out of the car, carried her into their vehicle before committing their crime.
Investigators added that the victim suffered a shock following the assault, but managed to SMS her friend who approached a nearby police officer and informed him of the incident, consequently leading to the arrest of the suspects who denied the charges.
