A curfew has been imposed in Aswan, Skynews Arabia reports, as armed clashes have renewed on Sunday between Nubians from the village of Daboud and the Beni Helal tribe.
Two people were transferred to Aswan University Hospital, but died of their injuries.
The clashes erupted once again in several areas where clashes orginally occured yesterday.
Shots were heard on streets no. 8 and 9 at al-Seil al-Reefy area and were reportedly heard in the al-Mashraha area in Aswan.
Villagers blocked Aswan-al-Seil al-Reefy main road, which links between south and north of Aswan in protest against the incidents.
Security troops intensified its presence in areas where the two tribes are present, fearing further clashes.
The death toll of the accidents reached 25, with 31 injured.
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb, Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim visited the area of clashes on Saturday in an attempt to calm the situation.
The clashes first broke out on Friday reportedly after a girl belonging to one of the tribes was flirted on by a man from the other tribe. Moreover, abusive graffiti against both parties had been spraypainted on the walls of a secondary school.
Mehleb then ordered a fact-finding committee be formed to probe the incidents.
