The Cairo Criminal Court resumed hearing testimonies from witnesses on Sunday and announced that they would continue hearing from the witnesses on 13 May in the trial of deposed President Mohamed Morsy and 14 others over killing protesters in front of the Ettihadiya Presidential Palace in December 2012.
In the previous session, the court heard testimonies from prosecution witnesses, including Brigadier Mohamed Mahmoud Tawfiq, East Cairo chief detective.
The court earlier ordered suspect Essam al-Erian to be medically examined for alleged back pains.
The suspects face charges of killing and inciting the murder of protesters in front of the palace in 2012 in the aftermath of mass demonstrations that rejected the supplementary constitutional declaration issued by Morsy in November.
