The Illicit Gain Authority on Monday submitted a memorandum to the Cairo Criminal Court, which is considering an earlier decision to ban former parliamentary speaker Ahmed Fathi Sorour from dispensing with moveable and liquid assets.
The ban would prevent Sorour and 24 of his relatives from dispensing the assets.
The memo stated that Sorour customarily married a parliamentary employee and gave her part of his fortune.
The court has adjourned until 20 August.
The session was held in the deliberation room in the absence of Sorour. His lawyers asked for an adjournment to review the documents.
The ban included Sorour, his wife Zeinab Mahmoud Mohamed, his children Hana, Hanan and Tarek, his daughter-in-law Marwa Mohamed Rashwan, his grandsons Sarah and Ahmed, his uncle Kamal Sorour and his wife Samia Hosni al-Amry, their children Hend, Heba and Hadil, along with other relatives.
