The Administrative Court adjourned the lawsuit demanding suspension of decision ordering parliamentary elections be held until 10 February.
The court also allowed the plaintiff to appeal at the Supreme Constitutional Court against laws on the House of Representatives, division of constituencies and exercise of political rights within 48 hours.
The lawsuit was filed by lawyer and former MP Ahmed Mohamed Ali.
In related context, the court decreed lack of jurisdiction regarding another lawsuit demanding nullification of electoral districts division as well as unconstitutionality of house of representative law.
A judicial source said plaintiffs of the second lawsuit have the right to file appeal at the Supreme Administrative Court. If the verdict is ruled in their favor, the lawsuit should be referred to Supreme Constitutional Court to decide on constitutionality of the law.
In related news, judicial sources from the High Elections Commission said medical examinations should be conducted on the physically-challenged candidates and that no verdicts were received from Administrative Court over medically examining all the candidates.
