Alexandria Criminal Court postponed on Saturday reviewing the lawsuit relating to the death of Khaled Saeed.
The lawsuit was adjourned until 31 August in order to consider testimonies and hear pleadings.
The two suspects, policeman Mahmoud Salah Mahmoud and police sergeant Awad Ismail Suleiman, face charges of using excessive force and physical torture related to the death of Khaled Saeed in Alexandria in 2010.
The suspects defence team has called for five witnesses to the incident to be questioned again, including Saeed's brother.
The lawsuit was returned back to to Alexandria court after the Court of Cassation decided to review the case again.
On 6 June 2010, the two accused allegedly beat Khaled Saeed to death in the street in Sidi Gaber, Alexandria.
Khaled Saeed's brother took a photograph of the body in the morgue following the incident. It caused outrage amongst Egyptians after the image was distributed on the Internet.
Salah Mahmoud and Ismail Suleiman were convicted at their first trial and sentenced to seven years in prison.
