Egyptian Ambassador to the US Sameh Shokri said he is making all necessary communications to ensure the needs of Pope Shenodua III are met during his stay in the state of Ohio, the US.
Pope Shenouda arrived in the US earlier this week on a therapeutic trip that will last several days, during which he will undergo medical examinations.
The pope suffers from kidney and back problems and has been traveling regularly to the US for treatment and examinations.
State-run news agency MENA cited Shokri as saying that he hopes the pope will recover soon and return to Egypt.
