A Central Security conscript and a student were injured on Tuesday in clashes between Brotherhood students of Minya University and security forces that tried to disperse them with tear gas after blocking the Cairo-Aswan highway in front of the university gates.
The students were forced to back to campus and prevented from going to the city. Yet they threw Molotov cocktails and stones at the security forces from behind the gates.
Criminal Investigation Director Hisham Nasr said four students were arrested possessing ammunition, Molotov cocktails and leaflets inciting against the army and the police.
Prosecutors are conducting investigation into the incident.
