Community dialogue on electoral districts starts amid cautious optimism

The community dialogue on redrawing electoral constituencies started on Thursday amid cautious optimism on the part of political forces and public figures.
 
The closed-door dialogue is chaired by Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb, accompanied by Minister of Transitional Justice Ibrahim al-Huneidi and Minister of Local Development Adel Labib.
 
Seventy-five political parties and public figures are attending the meeting, including Mohamed Abul Ghar, head of the Egyptian Democratic Party, Yehia Qadri, head of the National Movement Party, Anwar al-Sadat, head of the Reform and Development Party, Hossam al-Kholi, representative of the Wafd Party, Baha Abu Shaqa, head of the Journalists Syndicate, and former MPs Mustafa Bakri, Alaa Abdel Moneim, Ayman Radi and Magdi Allam.
