Committee considers moving El-Ferdan Bridge to resolve ferry problem

Port Said Governor Magdy Nasr Eddin hopes to solve the ferry traffic issue in Port Fouad by connecting a bridge between Port Fouad and Port Said.
 
Eddin has formed a committee consisting of engineering professionals to solve this traffice problem. He is considering moving the El-Ferdan Bridge to connect Port Said and Port Fouad, which Suez Canal Authority Chairman Mohab Mamish initially approved.
 
Thousands of passengers using ferries between Port Said and Port Fouad have been complaining of long lines and waiting times for ferries, as well as poor conditions on the ferries which have gone from bad to worse in recent weeks.
