The death toll from a collision of three cars and a microbus with a pick-up truck on the Ring Road near the Abu Shanaf bridge at the entrance to the western Egyptian city of Minya has risen to eight, while 25 people were left injured.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Mohamed Nady stated that the accident during a wedding ceremony on the Ring Road in front of the village of Saft al-Sharqiya in Minya.
Of the injuries, 11 people have recovered and 12 people are still receiving treatment at Minya General Hospital, he added.
Two of the injured were also transferred to Minya University Hospital, as their injuries varied between cuts, fractures and bruises.
