A member of the media center at the Egyptian Meteorological Authority Manar Ghanem said in televised statements to the Extra News channel on Tuesday that the coming days will see air masses impacting the weather coming from the Mediterranean, causing temperatures to drop.
Temperatures for Tuesday will be 22C in Greater Cairo, reaching 20C during the day by the end of the week.
She added that there will be a depression in the upper layers of the atmosphere, with low and medium clouds by the end of the week blocking part of the sun’s rays alongside heightened wind activity lowering temperatures.
Evenings are expected to witness further drops in temperatures, with minimum temperatures expected to reach 13-14C in Greater Cairo.
Light rainfall is predicted throughout the Mediterranean Sea, the northern coasts, and the northern governorates of Lower Egypt.
Rainfall will increase to light and moderate levels by Friday to Sunday.
