Low and medium clouds are forming on parts of the north of the country, on Tuesday.
There will also be a decrease in temperatures in all parts until early next week, Manar Ghanem, a member of the Media Center of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority, said.
Medium to heavy rain continues to fall on the coastal governorates of the Mediterranean Sea, such as Matruh, Alexandria, Beheira, Kafr el-Sheikh, Damietta, Port Said, Rafah and Arish.
Ghanem added that light to medium rain will extend to some areas of southern Lower Egypt, as well as the cities of the Suez Canal and central Sinai.
Light rain may reach areas of Greater Cairo.
When will the weather conditions improve?
Ghanem expects less rain on Tuesday, compared to Monday, saying that rain will be at intermittent intervals.
A relative improvement in weather conditions is expected starting Wednesday, because wind speeds will calm down, but the temperatures will continue to be cold until early next week, she added.
Ghanem attributed the continued rainfall in the coastal areas to the Mediterranean sea whose proximity adds to the cycle of wind snd cloud movement.
Maximum temperatures predicted on Tuesday:
Greater Cairo: 16C
Alexandria: 16C
Sharm el-Sheikh: 20C
Northern Upper Egypt: 17C
Southern Upper Egypt: 19C
