Meteorologists expect cold weather on Monday during the daytime along the northern coasts, Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and central Sinai, with warm weather on Upper Egypt, South Sinai, and Red Sea mountains.
The weather is expected to be very cold across the country by nightfall.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 17C in Alexandria, 18C in Cairo, 24C in Qena and 25C in Luxor and Aswan.
Low- and medium-level clouds are anticipated across most of the country, accompanied by rainfall on different parts in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts and central Sinai.
Winds will be mostly northwestern and active on most parts of the country, disrupting maritime navigation on the Red Sea.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and two meters in height, with northwestern surface winds on both seas.
